The Impact of your Support
Olympic sailing campaigns require significant resources. Unlike many Olympic sports with extensive federation funding, 49er campaigns rely on a combination of personal funding, commercial sponsorships, and support from charitable sailing programs. Support for the Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation’s Olympic sailing program helps create training and competition opportunities for eligible teams, including Janov Racing. Subject to the Foundation’s independent approval and oversight, program support may include:
• Equipment and logistical support for approved European and domestic racing
• Eligible matching-fundraising opportunities
• Approved coaching expenses
• Training equipment for use with high-level training partners
• Sails and other eligible performance equipment
• Measurement and technical-support services

Contributions may be made to the Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, by clicking the “Donate” button below. Please write “Janov Racing” in the memo line to indicate your interest in supporting the Foundation’s Olympic 49er development program. The Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation retains full discretion and control over all contributions and grant decisions.
